A Contemporary Home Inside 18th Century Ruins

Nathanael Dorent and Lily Jencks have created a contemporary home in the ruins of an 18th-century Scottish farm, with the aim of honoring the architectural richness of that era. These 200 year old ruins are now part of a totally futuristic house, powered by solar panels. The numerous skylights in the house allow electricity to be used almost never during the day, even in cloudy climates.
